The Road Ahead….

Greetings my fellow gardeners. I truly hope all is well with you and your gardens. I am pleased to report that my cool weather veggies are happily growing strong due to the mild, fall weather we are experiencing. However, the squirrels are desperately trying to find places to store their food sources and are wreaking havoc in my garden beds and containers!

It has been a while since my last post, but I have been pondering making a few of my long term goals a reality very soon. One goal in particular is building a tiny home on wheels with an old 20 foot trailer; a remanent from a deconstructed camper purchased several years ago. I love the concept of tiny houses and even more appealing to me is the mobility they provide because traveling is something I yearn to do. I have been researching the pros and cons for years (and of course, the pricing) and small space living is something I have done many times in the past. Also, my youngest child is going to be 18 in a couple of months, so I will be an empty nester.

Another reason I am considering this option is…wait for this…my new garden design business! It has taken years in the making but has become a reality as of last week. I have a long way to go before it is truly established, but I relish the challenge. I am extremely excited and gloriously happy about it also because of the many sacrifices I’ve made, my dream is finally becoming a reality.  I truly love gardening and creating beautiful outdoor landscapes. It nourishes my soul!

In my next post, I will share the details of the new business. Stay tuned!

  3. I’m excited for you! While going tiny was definitely a transition for us, it has been so freeing–and we haven’t even done the whole traveling tiny house thing. Good luck with your tiny house build!
p.s. you already have the tricky part figured out–the trailer. Now comes the fun part–designing your new home 🙂
